New CRK Micarta Insingo - is this normal??

Recently purchased two new large CRK Sebenza 21's w/ micarta inlays and Insingo blades from a trusted dealer on eBay. When I received it today I couldn't help but notice something that I've not seen before... looks like two small milled out grooves on the top side of the lock bar... I looked at the other one (purchased from the same dealer) and same exact thing on that one as well... is that normal? If so, what is it?

I've seen the milled grooves on other CRK's

On wood inlay sebenzas, those grooves mark the transition from the polished slab to the blasted lockbar.

Here's the milled grooves on two small sebenzas. It's nothing to worry about.

Mystery solved...in thinking back I've only seen it on inlays.
