So, I finally got drunk one night and ordered a Sebenza :D. I still wonder if I should have bought a Small instead but, ultimately, I have no regrets. My Large Sebbie 21 Insingo is a perfect compliment to my Vic Pioneer and I have carried nothing else since...

I don't mind the lanyard but I've noticed that it wears on the blade tip somewhat when closed. I think that the blue anodized pin is a cool little accent and I'd like to keep it if I lose the lanyard altogether (pity the pin on the Large is not shouldered like it is on the Small, but c'est la vie.) I've seen the melted paracord trick to retain the lanyard pin, but was just curious if there are other options. I've thought about just looking for little rubber o-rings to slip over the pin.

Any ideas?

Much appreciated! :)

It may void your warranty, but you could use a center punch and peen the scales to hold it in.

Fwiw, several people have used the oring trick.

Timber- I've got the orings that Desert Hermit suggested on a large sebenza and on a zann and it works great.

I use a small o ring, cut it in half or if small enough squeeze it into the lanyard pin. Works great, enough tension that it won't just fall out, and I've used my knife pretty heavily.

BTW your knife looks AMAZING =)
