Had the chance today to check out some of the new CRKT knives coming out. Some collaborationS will be coming out in March 2001 some others will be out by X-Mas. Their is one called (I think) the "Wasp" or some sort, Looks similar to the new Crawford/Kasper only both of the handle side looks as though it has been attacked by a bandsaw! You'd have to see it...Not a pretty site for sure. It does have the new "lawks" on it.

New M16-04/14's now come with black blades and your choice of Military drab Green or a Police Dark blue hadle. These do look very nice!

What I did find interesting is the lastest arrivial in stock now...Its the small version Mirage 50/50 or plain edge version in Titanium! And the lock on it looks just like the CR Sebenza's. There is no big back spacer on these, they just have the small washer type of spacer like the Sebenza's have. The titanium on these have nice polish.

There are about 8 others coming out, I'll post more on these when I have all the info etc...

CKRT does make some nice blades for the price. I am curious about this "hacksaw job" you describe.

And now for the real reason for this post -"The New Red Green Show" Apparently Canadians aren't too different from the Kentuckians I used to live around - both use liberal quantities of duct tape and come up with pretty bizzare ways to make convertibles, tow trucks, and more. How long have you been watching it?

I dont have the flyer with me for the new CRKT stuff, I'll try and draw a sample and post it back here tomorrow.

As for Red Green...I dont think Ive ever missed one yet....Fuuuuuuny Show! I gaduatted frum Kintuckee...Whatz Ur porint?

Hey Army,

I would really appreciate a pic or even a link to the new CRKT stuff, I'm a BIG FAN of their knives - esp the large KFF!
Thant handle you mentioned sounds very interesting! BTW, how did you get to see these if they are not scheduled out until 2001?

Some drawings of the new knives on the Skylands cutlery web site. They are also good people to do business with and have good prices....Ed.

Yes Nonbox. Looks like they have a wide range of interesting knives coming out and they appear to remain affordable.

It is actually the Steve Ryan Model 7 which looks like a derivative of the C/KFF.

A CRKT/Brian Tighe model based on his custom "Tighe Tac" is also due out later in the year. Both this and the Model 7 are AUS 6 bladed/Zytel versions of custom models.

The sleeper hit just may be the Howard Viele WASP. It looks like CRKT's stab (pardon the pun) in the upscale knife market. It boasts titanium handles (liners?), G-10 scales, and CRKT'S touted ACUTO 440 steel; which they rank above ATS-34. Skyland is quoting $80 for the smaller version, and $87 for the large.

Is anybody else giddy with anticipation?

I was just about to post a picture I made when I saw the link for Skyland....Their picture looks a bit better than mine!

The knife I mentioned was not the Wasp, but the Model Seven. Overall nice knife, But I'd rather have all my handle scales in one piece. I have heard that it feels good in the hand though.

All the proto pictures are out now, but maybe only to dealers? I help out at one, so I get to see all the fun new toys long before most.
