New CRKT knives

Thanks Cyblade, the Falcons are some handsome folders. Also worthy to note there is the Prowler folder, a Peter Marzitelli design. Damn...I wish I was going to SHOT :(
 
Yeah, thanks for pointing that out! I haven't visited the CRKT site for some time.

My favorite is the Prowler. I love Marzitelli designs, but don't have one of my own yet. This design is a cross between his "Tank" and "Spike Cruiser" models, as far as I can tell.

All of these new models are AUS-6. Damn. I wish they would use AUS-118 more. I'm sure all of us knife nuts would gladly pay for the extra margin of quality. Regardless, I will have a Prowler as soon as they are available.
 
I like the M16 *1 Fire Deparment model, the Contrail, and the 24k KISS S.S.T models.

But I'm just dreaming here. :)
 
Ditto Wire edge on the AUS-6. I might chance the knife and the locks if they were Aus-8. The Crawford Companion was a prime example and the Ryan Plan B as well as the Carson F-4, all would be worth a custom sheath with AUS-8. Its hard to screw up a fixed blade........but its possible if you use the wrong steel. Just too many people buy on looks alone. Its good for sharpener sales though.
 
I was hoping for a metal handle on the Falcon. I love the design but do not like zytel. G-10 would have been OK too. Now I have to decide if I really want this when there are other knives out there that would be "perfect" in what I am wanting. I too do not mind the extra expense for better materials.
 
I agree I love the new Ryan fixed blade but would work it to death and would work my sharpmaker to death too. CRKT has some awesome designs but the AUS-6 and Zytel combo makes me cry
 
The only thing that makes me cry is CRKT's MSRP on these bad boys (cry for joy that is). I'm gonna end up getting 'em all. :rolleyes:

I spoke with Rod Bremer from CRKT this past week and here are the estimated delivery dates for the new CRKT products for 2002. Please keep in mind that these are subject to change:

<li> March 1st for the Falcon
<li> Feb 1st for Plan B
<li> Mid Feb for the Prowler
<li> March 1st for the M16-04Z/14Z

I don't get it. What's wrong with Zytel scales when you have stainless steel liners? Zytel is pretty tough material anyway.

The Falcons haven't "flown out" yet if you know what I mean ;) Well, the usual CRKT dealers will have 'em.
 
Thanks El Cid. The Carcajou is awesome, so is the Bwana. Just wish the steel was better. Can't gripe for the price I guess.
