Nirk Tighe - Designed by Glenn Klecker and Brian Tighe

MSRP $150...Probably be available for $129

Looks nice, but they need better material to charge that price....maybe they will change that before it hits the shelf

420J2 stainless steel frames which are stamped, then machined and coated with blue titanium nitride.

The blade is precision cut from premium AUS 8 stainless steel. At the blade pivot, a special caged mini ball bearing system gives fast and smooth opening action

Wish I had a better pic.

My opinion only, maybe there is something more to it, but I don't see it.

looks like squeezing the handle would disengage the lock? cool looking knife though..i don't know about $150 worth of cool though :P

I have the original all SS CRKT NIRK, and it's not worth the $20 I paid for it, my opinion. The design is very intriguing, but to support the geometry of the design the handle is too big in back, and not ergo at all (the new one looks better). Worst of all, the way its designed, once you overcome the initial pressure that keep it closed, for about 40% of the pivot distance from closed to open the lock puts no pressure on the blade, so its basically dangling in the air, making a loose-metal clink-clank sound as it opens. Cheap sound and feel. The blade is stout, but the handle just feels chintzy.
