New crop

Went to check on the new crop of Black Walnuts on the trees in my area . Brought the Tops Tibo with me that I finely found yesterday.:D



Well looks like we my get some Black Walnuts this fall . Maybe I can find enough to make a Black Walnut cake.:thumbup:
I hope so last year it was just to dry.
 
I have 2 giant BW trees in my yard and some smaller ones a little further away. I can't tell you how many five gallon buckets of those darn things I pick up and haul off. I beg for people to come and pick them up and can't find anyone who wants em...well...unless they're already cracked and hulled!

I love 'em but hate to crack 'em. I'd soon just buy them already hulled and cracked with the goodies already removed. Love BW ice cream and cake!

I know what you an about cracking them . But they sure are good.
 
Am I the only one who loves the smell of those right off the tree? I need to find a way to bottle it! haha

Thanks Doc , I just used the cell phone. I do like the Tops Tibo. It is small enough to make the best Necker that I have tried. I like the kydex sheath but the chain is not what I am use to in a Necker. Guess I am a par cord guy. The jibbing is all in a good location. I don't have a Izula to compare it to but I have a Breeden 6/12 mini and it is a little larger than it .But it cuts just as well and fit's my short fat fingers well. I like it .;)
