Just got it yesterday.
All I can say is WOW!
Everything I've read about it is true.
For such a large knife, it feels pretty good in my med sized hands.
It came razor sharp, locks up like a vault, and is relatively easy to open and close one handed.
Fit and finish is almost perfect; there's a tiny gap between the outer liner and liner lock piece at the
hex tool driver hole.
Since I only wear jeans to work, this can really be my EDC.
It's definitely going to take pocket time away from my Paramilitary 2.
Bottom line, it's kinda like carrying a folding fixed blade in my pocket.

One question on the knife;
I've read that there are already 2 generations of it.
What are the differences?
Mine has 154 CM steel.
I've also noticed that the arrangement of spacers in the butt end on some pix here is different than mine.
And, some have ATS 34 blades.
Thanks
Lenny

I believe the ATS-34 was only used during the first year of production then Buck switched to 154CM.

OK, the more I look at this knife, the more intrigued I become.
Does anybody know what the blade finish is?
It doesn't seem like a coating, but I could be wrong.
And, how is the blue lettering done?
The knife's construction is interesting also.
Only the pivot screw and 4 screws holding the scales on are visible.
How is the actual frame held together?
I'm guessing more screws below the scales.
All in all, for the price, this is the most amazing knife value I've ever seen.

You may not be aware of it but the hole in the butt is designed to accepts Hex tools so you can use the knife as a wrench, so to speak. Buck sells the tool set for it but others may work as well. One online dealer has the blade finish listed as "Zirblast finish". I've no idea what that means but I suspect it might be similar to a beadblast finish using cubic zirconia blasting medium?

Thanks Bad.
Wonder if it'll ever show wear.
It's an interesting finish to say the least.
I did know about the tool set, but I'm not interested.
I have a leatherman Wave that has a tool set if I ever need.
Has anybody taken one of these apart?
I'd love to see pix of how it's assembled.

Mine came in today (I'll post a pic later today [Edit: tomorrow-didn't get to the camera today as planned]). I have plans to order the tool kit from Buck in the next Buck Stuff order that I make. As mentioned elsewhere, the lock is a bugger to release, but the knife is an impressive tool. Very heavy duty. Like Lenny, I also got the 154CM version.
