New Custom BUGOUT scales and blade steel available in custom shop

I saw someone post on a different forum one mocked up in the custom shop, and it was over $500. No thanks. Not for a Bugout, no matter how “custom”.
 
Don't we already have a 535-3 with s90v and cf scales, which is on sale for $200 @ bhq?
 
I got my regular Bugout for about $100. That's what I feel the price point should be for this kind of knife. It's nice but seeing as I could add G10 scales from Flytanium for about an added $40 there is no way I would pay in excess of $200 for one. Nice knife but it's not a $200 knife in any variant. I mean BM adds $10 just for a black coated blade.

Yeah, I'd personally prefer to buy a Bugout second-hand at a market-adjusted price and then have fun voiding the warranty with aftermarket upgrades.

That's my point in a nutshell. When you do the BM custom route direct you're paying full retail for the knife to start. For the Bugout that's $175 which is at least $75 more than I paid.
