Just in from FedEx to my door...David Mosier "Spyro" Flipper with titanium frame lock and the elusive "Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber" with IKBS. :eek:This is Davids latest custom tactical folder. I lucked out with this incredible knife. One of those (right place, right time) deals. Thanks to Les at "Robersons custom cutlery" for putting the deal together. Lots of pics and descriptions...

David puts a edge on his knife that is beyond sharp. Hands down nothing I have ever handled is this sharp.

David's finishing on the blade is amazing.

Pocket clip tension is perfect with the correct amount of flare.

The David Mosier logo and IKBS logo are sharp and crisp.

The flipper is the best design I have used. Mosier puts gimping on the flipper tank and uses a harder angle. It generates faster knife opening than any of my assisted opening knives. It literally is a blur when the knife opens. This combined with the IKBS system is unmatched in smoothness and speed from any conventional washer type system. Yea, its that good. So smooth it makes my CRK feel rough. Needless to say there is absolutely no blade play in any direction.

Lightning Strike Carbon Fiber is a special carbon fiber that has bronze wire weaved though out the carbon fiber. It is designed for the military to direct lightning strikes around carbon fiber instead of blowing a hole through it. It is very very rare and only a few few custom knife maker got their hands on it. I was told that when the allotment is gone, its gone. It will be the theme with those makers at this years blade show.

The handle just fits to perfection with jimping on the top of the titanium bolster. The blade shape has a finger choil that allows you to choke up on the blade for fine cutting.

The back spacer is also made of carbon fiber. Everything is seamless.

Obviously perfect blade centering.

Thick titanium frame lock that isnt sticky when new or requires a break-in period.

I have discovered a big difference between a Full blown custom and my many higher end production custom knives. For a bit more money you get a lot more knife that sets a new standard in performance. I cant recommend David Mosier knives enough. He builds a real hard use knife that sets a standard on how good a well thought out design and fit and finish can be. There is NO compromising with his knives.

I agree with Coop, you really did an outstanding job showing us all this knife. David's knives are well designed, rock solid, and in my opinion a very good value.. Best Regards, Rich
