Hey guys, I'm relatively new to the custom side of things. Been a collector for over a decade. This is the first year I'm a CKCA member and I just received one of my first custom orders. Thanks to Bill Behnke for working with me and making a great knife. I have alot to learn about custom knives, so I would appreciate your thoughts and opinions on this piece.
I had asked Bill to make me a knife similar to one he had previously made that was featured in Blade, but simpler. The blade is basketweave damascus made of 1084 and 15n20. For the handle, I spent three months trying to track down nice enough stag. I finally found a stash of Sambar in the UK that yielded some very nice pieces and sent one of them over to Bill for the handle. The fittings are 416 stainless and the spacer is African blackwood. Bill made the sheath to fit as well.
