Hello bladeforums! I am more of a lurker but feel compelled to post about a new knife I received today. So often when I have ordered custom items - not just knives - something is forgotten or left out. The little details count, and this time everything lined up with the stars and I got exactly what I wanted.
I had bought a blade from the classified on a whim by a maker I had never heard of - Kota knives. I just really liked the look of the piece and it wasn’t prohibitively expensive so I said the usual “I will take it” and a week later I was opening the USPS package and was amazed at the quality. So I contacted the maker and ordered a custom. Four months later I am opening another USPS packaged and Wow - what a neat blade. I don’t think for the few hunted I paid I can do better. It ticked all my boxes. Anyhow as they say without pics this thread is worthless ... specs are w2 steel, nickel silver, and black and white ebony....makers name is Dakota Slack
