Just wanted to show off my newest custom I bought Sunday
at the Gun & Knife Show in my hometown. It was made by
Braschler Martin Custom Knives in Zalma, MO.

Specs:

440C stainless full tang blade with a stunning mirror polish.

Beautiful Elk antler scales.

Heavy Duty sheath that is very nicely done.

Overall fit and finish is perfect, the scales fit with now gaps or overlap.

8 7/8 overall with a 4 1/2 inch RAZOR sharp blade!

My digital photo skills are still growing, and mirror polish
blade still give me a lot of trouble, so ANY blemishes or
stuff you see on the blades is either reflection of tree
branches from overhead, or me being to close with the camera,
you could literally shave both with this knife or in your
reflection in the blade, the mirror finish is that perfect!

Hey TLC...

That's nice...

A clean nicely made knife still blows me away every time...

Nice pick!

that knife looks like a hard worker with a lotta class. one thing i noticed that custom makers don't do anymore nowadays is deeply stamp their names on their blades. i personally can't stand how the etcho-matic (or whatever it's called) really ruined the "permanence factor" of the artist's name. it can soooo easily be worn off with a couple of accidental passes with wet/dry when you're refurbing tha blade. i like how Braschler Martin didn't succumb to that method.

Thanks, guys I am still stepping into customs slowly, I have a few Buck 110's from their custom shoppe, but these are my first totally handmade knives. I really like the flow of this one, it almost has the feel of a fixed blade version of a 110.

Hi confederate: That is one beautiful knife. The mirror finish really sets it off. Have you or anyone had any experience with the mirror finishes? I was wondering how they hold up to usage. I personally don't own any custom knives, but anything I buy, I like to use. I am a newbie to the forum and have read a lot but this is my first post. Great advice here!!

First off, WELCOME to the forum!

In my experience mirror finishes hold up well particularly in 440C blades. As I type this, I have a 440C bladed folder sitting on my desk that I bought in 1982 with a mirror polish balde, and this knife has been used HARD and even left in a tackle box for years at a time, and the mirror finish is fine on probably 90% of the blade. And I can't stress enough how hard this knife has been abused.

I agree on the "use" part, I maybe own 2 out of 100+ knives that never get used, I don't buy knives as investments or just to collect, I like to use them.

The Last Confederate,
I talked to those folks at the last gun show I went to. They have some nice knives. They are about 15 miles from me.

They are incredibly nice people, I had actually seen them at shows for about 2 years, but I wasn't into customs so had never bought from them. This show was in my hometown, so I went both days and actually spent sometime talking with them about how they make the knives and stuff. They were a total pleasure to deal with.
