I got my new kydex sheath for my BK9 today. This was made by a Blade Forums member who recently showed his wares (for a BK7) in this (Becker) forum. It came with a kydex and leather drop loop, a Gen-U-Wine 3/8 Firesteel w/ striker, a large Tek-lok, and a wrap of para-cord. The piggy-back was to have been for my EsKaBar, but he apparently mistook the BK13 for the same. I originally found his wares on that auction place for a BK7, and liked how he handled the thumb ramp, and asked if he could do the same for a BK9, obviously he could and you see the result. There is a trade off with the open back over the ramp, as there is no thumb push off, and with the secure fit (read snug,) drawing takes an effort. I should have no trouble with leaving this blade lying on the side of a trail, The Horror, the horror…
I fully understand why KaBar/Becker cannot, for the price, offer any more than the, very serviceable, sheath that they do. And I like the latitude it allows in getting a sheath to specs.

The sheath with the BK2 is another recent E-Pay acquisition. Not the same Maker
