yeah got that email. more options is better.......keeps getting better

I was looking around after the new options and Buck added Buck 113 Nickel Silver bolsters to the Custom Shop!!

My money is safe so far. I don't see much there that interests me.

The Shokwood has possibilities, but it varies so much that you'd have no idea what you might get.........worse than Forrest Gump's box of chocolates.

I am really thinking about putting my first custom order this year. I am wondering why the new 110 drop point blade in S30V costs less than the clip point? Also not to get off topic but do you guys know if they stamp custom blades with year codes? And if not, why not? All the pictures I have seen online just show the anvil with CUSTOM and USA below it. I like owning/collecting Buck knives and year codes mean something to me. 2017 has been a good year and I'd like to commemorate it with a custom 110.

I'm hoping some day there will be a option of a drop point blade for the 112's. .Any steel but S30V is the one I like the best. Mirror polished S30V would be even better! Cost is a factor as always for a custom but if I had a choice of a MP S30V drop point I would have gladly paid $30.00 or $40.00 even to get it. The CS 112 I just paid for was just over $ 100.00 with a MP clip point. .

They are already available for 60 Bucks. Buck 112 drop point in 5160

Yes Copper and Clad has a few really nice exclusives with a drop point. .And if you look back you can find a few LE's with it too. For the most part tho drop point 112's are scarce and a bit expensive. As far as I know it's never been a option from the Custom Shop in the brief window in 2008 or so and since the 112 was available in the last couple of years.

Why is there no nail nick on the s30v drop point???
There was no nail nick on the prior drop point either, in 420HC. I used to want it with a nail nick only, now without only. When the blade is open, it looks much better without. They open easy enough without a nail nick anyway.

I agree...the 112 drop point looks much better without the nail nick. Don't really need it anyway. Actually I think the clip point looks better without it too....

Remember, the 112 was without a nail nick when it first came out and had a clip point blade. Preston
