I have a Buck 560 XLTi in my collection for a long time now (12 years or more – should check my notes ;) )
Although I always liked the design and ergonomics of this knife very much – the classic Buck 110 blade with the light and very grippy titanium handles is uncomparable – I never carried it. Reason is, I don´t like and don´t use belt pouches for knifes and the 560 is too big for just carrying it in the pocket. What lacks is a pocket clip.
Now, after so many years, I asked german knifemaker Steffen Dammann to make me a custom pocket clip for this knife. After some wait, I got my pimped 560, now with a titanium tip-down pocket clip and ready for use. I carried the knife as an edc for two weeks now and like it a lot. What I miss a bit is the one-hand-opening ability, but that´s not as bad as I expected.

What do you think ? Here are some pics of the knife.

Just thought you might want to know the knife is a 560GT (Gray Titanium). The XLTI has a step for a chamfer. The GT has a 45 degree chamfer. FYI.

Not exactly certain what/where the blade chamfer is. But here is a 560 XLT-TI
Can you help me understand Richard?
Thanks...

Wrong Richard, but your 560 has the 45* chamfer - it's the circumferential chamfer around the outer edge of the "grip" (best I can do, since the scale and liner are integral).

That's right. The chamfer in question is around the perimiter of the frame. The XLTI has a step around the perimeter of the frame and the GT, BT and XLT-TI have the 45 degree chamfer around the perimiter of the frame halves.

So, I'm guessing I got the wrong box with the knife (????).

Trax, remember this one? It's the one that was advertised by the seller as having a "titanium blade" ;)

I dont know much about that but.....circumferwhat? Thats my new favorite word! :D ;) :p

Thanks for the input. Interesting to know it is a GT, not a XLTi. I should change that on my homepage.
I know there is this OAB, but till now I hesistated to buy/install one because it affects the overall lines of the knife a bit. But, as it does not cost very much, I will perhaps give it a try.
