New dagger just finished it

That looks really good Luke, nice job all the way around. Are you still using that NC knifemakers forge?

Bill

it seems you got that third hyperlink miss-typed, change the ,com to .com

I really like that guard you put on there, looks like a classic. Great job

Thanks fellas. Yep Bill, I'm still using that nc forge and I love it. When life slows down a bit for us, I hope to use it alittle more than I have been.

Cool dagger, still can't make out the third pic though, but from what I see it's very nice.

Luke, here's a quick $0.02 advice on the photos:
To make the details in the dark handle show up, place it against a dark background. As a general rule, try to keep the overall value of light/dark pretty consistent throughout the frame. (i.e. dark subjects on dark background, light subjects on light backgrounds)

When the subject is dark against a white (or otherwise light colored) background, the camera's light meter gets tricked into thinking everything in the frame is light colored. The mistakenly fast shutter speed turns the dark subject into a black silhouette. When the whole frame is more consistently dark, the shutter speed slows down and enough light gets into the camera to render details, even in those dark areas.
