Hey guys- :)

Latest one from the shop--- customer/friend has been beyond patient with me on this one. Hopefully the wait was worth it. :)

Blade- Explosion-ish 1084/15N20 6-3/16" long
Fittings- 416 stainless (line cut and fluted "ferrule" spacer, domed 1/16" ss pin)
Handle - African Blackwood
Sheath- Veg tanned leather, saddle stitched, twist damascus stud (it has an aluminum "rib" in between the two outside layers of 5oz leather to make it very rigid, as well as give it some contour) :)

Even though I've looked at Coop's $75 Home Studio thread 100 times, and have HIS old camera, I'm still missing something.... So I'll just inundate you with photos :foot: :o :)

Thanks for looking!!! :)

I'm overjoyed to share this photo. I've been working very long days in the shop, and Angi is ALWAYS trying to find ways to support me. She WANTED to help the other day... and after watching me stitch up another sheath and start this one, she asked if she could help. So after I got it ready and all the holes lined out and ready, she did 90% of the saddle stitching on this sheath. I am both proud, and lucky!!!   :D

I'm sure as hell no Paul Long... but it's clean and I think it works well with the knife shape. :)

Here's a little video of it too. :) Hopefully the audio swap will be done by the time this is posted. :)

Nick that thing is beautiful!! Love the pattern! Really nice work as usual buddy! Very cool that Angi got in the shop with ya and helped out. Joanna is always really supportive of my work. It would be cool to have her standing next to me hand sanding a blade someday!

I love your work and really look forward to when you post new stuff.:thumbup:

More Daggers!

I always liked your fighters but you sure make a pretty dagger.
I can't stare at the damascus too long.
Makes me start seeing things.

Thanks for putting this up Nick, you don't show your work enough! The damascus is mesmerizing.

Man that looks awesome! Love the shape and contours, and the black wood really sets it off.

That's gorgeous! Wish you had made it right-handed!

I like the dagger Nick and I LOVE the damascus.
As far as the pictures are concerned, I must have missed where COOP says he uses cheap plywood as a background. :p;)

Beautiful flowing lines and very elegant work. Your fit and finish are superb.....very inspiring piece overall!

line cut and fluted "ferrule" spacer,
.....Can you explain what "line cut" means? Is there a special technique/tool you use to achieve such crisp cuts?

Thanks,

Bobby

Nice work, Nick! All curves and flow with few flat surfaces or straight lines gives a very organic effect.

Absolutely beautiful Nick! Maybe Coop's old camera is a good luck charm but you were there
when he borrowed a clunky point and shoot from the audience and STILL took a better picture
than most of us can!

That is beautiful Nick . Just love the damascus . All just beautiful . Now stop playing around , get moved so I can come by to visit and watch .
