It came today. Not a very long wait, really, considering.
I had purchased a Mouse from daid a while back, and was really impressed with the quality of his knife. The fit, the finish, the balance, all were there. We talk about a few things, and he made a necker for me out of damascus, and also made some changes to his stock Tactical Drop Point that I wanted. He deepened the choil, dopped the point a bi more, and rounded the scales so that they are more "organic" rather than just flat. We both really liked the changes, and I asked him for one like it in damascus. And this Damascus is gorgeous, deeply textured, beautifully etched. It was a ton of fun getting t know David as he worked on transforming one of his stock patterns into exactly the knife I wanted, and at an incredibly affordable price. The wood is Ziricote, and really sets off the gorgeous metal.
