I got this really nice Case single blade trapper (maybe mini) with a wharncliffe damascus blade and red bone handle. It's got a half stop also. It's my first damascus blade knife and it's really neat looking. I don't know the style of the damascus but it looks like waves going the length of the blade. I tried to capture the damascus in the pictures but I couldn't get a good shot of it. The knife is about 6.25" overall with a handle of about 3.5". This feels perfect in my hand.

nice knife Randy, I like the small wharnie thing, have seen small wharnies here for a while and really want one
nice score

Love that knife!!! Is it current production or an older run? It looks absolutely fantastic. - Ed J

Congrats, Randy, but I'm just a tad disappointed that you didn't just go out and build your own. ;)

(Though I'm sure it won't be too long.)

Randy, the Mini Trapper with the wharnie blade is one of my favorites and I EDC one daily. I haven't seen the damascus with the red bone till now! I thank you for showing it...my wife and wallet however are very disappointed in you. ;)

Congrats for your new excellent EDC, great looking knife, the wharncliffe is absolutely fantastic and case damascus is great. It is hard to tell the pattern of the damascus from your photo.
I have ordered SWJ in red stag and tear drop damascus and it is one of my favorites.

Thanks! I'm going to make two fixed blade knives before mid June and then kick off my first slipjoint in July.

Thanks Mike. This one has waves running the length of the blade. It's not the raindrop. However, I really like the raindrop pattern that you have.

I tis funny that you started this thread! I have the same one and put it into my pocket earlier in the week to try and enjoy carrying. When I got mine I was told it was Alabama Damascus (had mine for 2.5-3 years now), really dark and hard see the different steel. Mine was ground very off center so that it is almost rubbing the liner at the tip, and the tip of the blade was exposed above the handle. I decided to put my anger toward Case aside as I now wear scrubs and like long thin slipjoints. I am getting used to it,and love the red handles but old feelings die hard.

At least mine is well protected:
