He's a Chinook mix:

Got him from a local rescue....former owners moved and couldn't take him.

But that's ok...he's pretty much what we were looking for!

Here's a video showing him and my AmStaff Jessie (aka The Tank). :D

Thanks for looking!

very cute Dan. nice pickup! lol. im more of a cat person myself, but i do have two doggies. love the video. they seem to be getting along very well.

Great looking dogs! Your new one definitely looks strong and athletic. What does he weigh?

Here is a pic of my Labrador Retriever, Buddy. He's a goon.

Bruno weighed in at 53 lbs at the vet. He is too skinny in the haunches...(malnourished)...and I expect him to add 5-8 lbs.

If he does...he and Jessie will be the same weight (between 58-62 lbs).

Totally different build, though...

Right on, he is a great looking dog. Jessie is an AmStaff, correct? Those dogs are definitely tanks. Stronger than heck for their size. Another great dog is the Staffordshire Bull terrier. My friend has one and that thing is 36 pounds of pure muscle and bone. He wrestles my 90 pound Lab around. Here is a picture of them together,

Great lookin pair! Thanks again for the pics! Does your AmStaff do any dog sports? She would be awesome at weight pulling judging by those shoulders!

Not yet...but she has tremendous prey drive and is very food motivated...good combination.

Definitely. How old is she? AmStaff's can pretty much do anything, like agility, flyball, weightpulling, competitive obedience and even schutzund. They also excell at certain hunting sports like Hog hunting as catch dogs, but you already know that. I have never seen an American Staffordshire Retriever though. Not sure if the terrier in them would let them bring that bird back whole!:D

Here's my two. They are brother and sister. Half red nosed pit and half Rhodesian Ridgeback. The male is the brindle "Turk" and his sister is "Nala". Nala is the beast of the two. I swear she does squats in the basement each night on my squat rack. Her legs are just ripped.

Dog pics are great!

Jessie is 1 year old.
We think Bruno is around 3-4.

What a combo! Great looking dogs!

Bruno is clearly a sled-dog...amazing at "bolting" when he wants to....he'd do great on the front line of some football team.

We crate-trained him the first few days...now the crate is HIS home...goes in there without even being told (quite a bit different from our bull-headed Jessie).

He's not skiddish, or fearful....but does require a firm but gentle hand. Again, different than the TANK which requires a very heavy (but nice) firm hand. :D

I take them both out for an evening walk every night (as much as possible)....they walk great together. Today I caught them doing tug-of-war with an old stuffed animal toy of Jessie's....I thought "Well...here we go"...and was getting ready to go out and break up a fight. Nope. They worked it out themselves...eventually Bruno figured out that Jessie had the upper hand and let it go. She's the BOSS. :D

if i wernt lazy id post pics of my dogs. they arent the most athletic, but they are still good doggys. i'll see about pics tomorow

all dog pics are good dog pics!
