Guys,

Y'all know I went through a really hard time around the end of last year and beginning of this year. Considering all your thoughts, prayers, and I thought an update might be in order.

First, the old: I resigned my teaching position to protect my sanity. I am also waiting for Jordy to finally become available so she can sign the marriage agreement papers, and I can finally put her behind me for good.

The new: I have a girlfriend who is absolutely everything I wanted in a woman, and a few things I forgot to add- but for which I am thankful. She is the right age, the right hair color (brunette, of course!), the right height & build, intelligent, funny, thoughtful, hard working, sweet, sassy, and a great cook! And she is absolutely nuts about me. And we are going to spend our lives together.

So, that's where we stand. Now, we're both looking for jobs in NC, because she has family there, it's one of only two Southern states I have considered deliberately living in, and she says it'll be a much better environment in which to raise children than the DC area where she works now. Yeah, that was a hard sell for me. ;)

Oh...if any of you are in the market for a high-dollar sub-MOA FAL-based competition rifle, let me know.

Happy news:) thank you for sharing

I'm so happy to hear things are going better for you, John. You deserve it, friend:thumbup:

Thanks, guys.

Great to hear, John.

Don't want to live in Mobile? Not even my side (eastern shore)?

Mike :D

Uwinv that's really great and wonderful news!
We'll continue to send ~~Smoke~~ & ~~Song~~ up for you and yours that things will be fixed up for you in a good and gentle way. :)

.

Glad to hear things have turned around for you so completely.

Keep ahold of that positive attitude and see where it can take you.

BTW, the DC area isn't all that bad. Your federal government abandoned me here about 20 years ago, and I've managed to get by.;)

That said, here's hoping you both find all you need in NC.

Congratulations John!

very happy for you both!

11 years in NC were good years for us.

:)

All the best!

Tom

Thanks, guys.

No, Mike. I do not want to live in Mobile. Again. :D

Steve, looking in the Raleigh area, so, at least close enough to visit now and then. :)

Glad to hear your horizons are looking bright, John. I grew up in Winston-Salem (Mom is still there), have a brother in Salisbury and spent some time in the Chapel Hill - Raleigh area. North Carolina has a lot to offer. Best of luck to you.

Eric

Congrats John! Smoke from Kuala Lumpur!
From now on just be cool and take real good care of everything around, OK
