New Delica 4, problem with the clip

I ordered a new Spyderco Delica 4 to use as an EDC knife. I got it in today and overall, I'm very happy with it. I bought one without handling it and it is a little bigger than I had in my head, but I like it. However, the clip is causing me concern. The portion of the clip that contacts the handle seems to be snug and if you test it with a gentle tug it seems firm and tight. However, when I tried to slip it onto my pocket, it seemed to go on too easy and also seemed to come off too easy. I am worried that if I carry it this way, I will end up losing it. Is there an easy fix for this?

As an FYI, I have mostly carried Kershaw knives in the past which seemed to have very tight clips. Is this just that I am used to something different?

You could also scuff up the inside of the clip contact area with some low-grit sandpaper to give it more of a textured surface and subsequently more purchased on the pocket.

Before you mod it test the retention. Put it in the pocket of a spare garment, hold it upside down, and give it a few shakes over a bed. If it doesn't fall out then no problem.
