New Design For Johns Scandi Grind !

The forums got a little slow so figured I draw up another design, this time one that uses Johns Scandi grind but on top of his regular grind, is this possible ?

Most scandi bushcraft blades are a scandi edge on a flat blank but as this is a wide blade I figured it still needed a little taper above the scandi edge...if that makes sense !

Scandi blades only have 1 grind, if I am not mistaken. I think 1/8th would work, not as "beefy" but it would be a true scandi. It could also have steeper grind, but that might make the edge too weak.

True scandi's only have one I agree. I can't see why the blade cannot have some taper though and finish with the scandi edge.

Ok, think I got it now. The blade will have a small taper, mostly for finish, with a wide scandi-like edge. :thumbup:
