Yes my wife.
About a year ago she was giving me untold grief RE: "Making those Stupid knives"
Things are finally changing for the better.
This is a knife designed by the other half,Correction Better half. She actually
designed it by the feel of the handle, Blade shape Etc.
Good thing because I am too dangerous in the Kitchen.

Kitchen knife made from ATS34 steel. Heat treated by D'Alton Holder's heat treating
service.
6 1/2 blade full tang knife. Olivewood handle.

I have to make my wife one every couple of months. She will think up something and say "when you get a chance", that means "do it right away"!

That is a very nice looking knife, Robert. I really like it. Frankly, you can see how it would be a good kitchen knife, but it isn't far off from being a real good campknife.

Methinks maybe you should encourage this design desire by your bride. I think she has a real talent. I tend to think that very few designers who've come from a status of knife haters/dislikers think to angle the handle down the way she did. Looks to me like it makes using the knife in a "chef knife" style would be easier than with a straight handle.

My son Ian (who is helping me right now) thinks it's great and wants one for his mother.

nice design, and well exicuted:D EE

Very Awesome looking Kitchen knife.Looks like your wife and you make a good team.
I wish I could get my wife into the designing of a knife with me,It has taken years now but she is probably my worst critic (other than myself) When I get a Knife finished she will give it a very keen eye on all aspects from weight and balance to the fit and finish and then if she finds something will say "you are not done yet take this back to the shop and fix this" sometimes it gets agravating when you are all puffed up, but it is worth it in the long run,as you get pushed to look for them little spots yourself, even when you are tired and just want to finish the knife...

I have to make a new one for the wife about every 20 knives. I have more empty slot sin that knife block than I have filled.

Boy, those are BOTH nice kitchen knives! Good job all around Bob and Bob and also to your wives!:D

It is VERY important that the "missus" partakes in the fruits of our labor. I have made my wife a couple of pearing knives that she uses all the time. I used black micarta on the handles. The one chef's knife rarely gets any use. Uh, I haven't had to re-sharpen it yet!
