I recieved a nice package from Christine Simonich about a month back and this nice piece of unknown steel was in it :) :)

Turns out it was A2 and a Chopper was born!!

Steel is A2 at RC60 - Machine Satin Finish
Handle is black canvas micarta with red liners

I'll call it C.S.C. (Christine Simonich Chopper ) after my friend Christine :)

Thanks girl! This one is staying in NC with me :)

Remember when you said every once in a while you have a blade that you could let go of to a friend, I am calling in that favor now. Come on brother, let me have that one. Please

I really think you hit that one "Out of the park" It is truly a beautiful chopper.

I wonder if that hunk of steel wasn't going to be a SRT. It seems similar in size.

Really nice

Paul

Uh, that is gonna look awful silly mounted to that glock!! :D:D

Don't try a front waist band carry either  That would move you from the bass to the tenor section of the choir!!!

Abso-freakin-lutely beautiful knife.

Doc

That looks great Brian:thumbup:

How do you like working with A2?

It is MUCH MUCH different than 0-1. VEry cool grinding steel. First steel I have ground I didnt have blisters the next day

It truley is like grinding butter........... I swear :)

I also I liking the air hardening steel. I have a mess of D2 neckers to heat treat soon so I better learn to liek it :)
