This is a design I started for a customer some time ago. I am going to try it in 440V. Made for tactical entry use, the sheath will come with a door wedge, an idea from a friend who is SWAT member. (He's always leaving his knife behind to hold open a door when entering a cleared area.)

Any comments or questions appreciated. If it is as popular as the TEC Fighter and LW Persian, I may have a bunch Hydro-cut.

Another nice knife in the works! Can't wait to see the finish product Chris.

Hello, Chris

Your style is clearly seen in the lines of that knife and it really looks good!

Nice knife.

Does that mean that you like it? Could you qualify that statement a little more?

I don't think a strait compliment would be in danger of being confused as placing an order for the knife, MDP ;)

the design has several key features that i feel are very inportant. 1) deep ricasso 2)index finger cut out 3)thumb ramp looks like a winner. now please explain the door stop or wedge?

Thanks for the compliments everyone.

The wedge will probably be made of micarta, and I will be 2 poeces mated together so they form a rectangle in the holder. They will be slightly serrated for bite, and large enough for commercial doors. They may be made for the door jam near the hinge - I have to experiment a little first.

The sheath will feature multi point mounting for belt, tac-vest or thigh carry. The wedge holder will be on the front exterior of the sheath, maybe with a velcro closure - still playing with the nylon and velcro idea.

Should I make it in D2 also? I chose 440V for its stainless properties.

Rhino,

Already considered that. NOTHING is noisier than a SWAT Team Entry. The "S" in SWAT does not stand for "stealth" :D

For real, we just don't want the door closing behind us. Anyone coming in behind would have to clear the room again.

Chirs, the real question is: how does it stand up to being jammed in a display holder at a show? :)

Hey Chris,

Good to see "Bugsy" is alive and well. ;)

Let me know when you'll be in the 'hood again.

James,

The part you didn't hear was me saying to myself.... "No, really you don't have the money for that." "No, I am not kidding." "I know it is a nice knife." "No."
