Tried to post a pic of my new Khuk design in wood but it didnt fly. I'll see if Maui Rob can do it or anybody else that would like to vounteer

Ok, that did it on the pic, Thanks Rob !

This one is 19 1/2 inches. Wide belly, thin, dui chirras, near identical to a 19th century model. Hope to finish it and get it off to Uncle soon

Thanks for the encouragement guys. This old design seems to be somewhere between the berk special and a strongly curved hansee, not to mention the thin blade. Hopefully the kamis will maintain the thinness of the blade. I should be getting the final touches on this one and getting it off to Uncle for inspection soon

I'll be really interested to see how the blade thickness turns out on the finished product.

Thanks Berk

I'll be working up a kothimoda hanshee proper after this one. I got ahold of this sculpey stuff that you can bake in the oven for 15 minutes to a super hard yet still workable finish which I will be using on the handle of the next one. No molding nessesary anymore, I'll just sculpt down the handles as fancy as we want bake em and fit them onto the wooden blades and off they go. If anyone has any fancy handle pics let me know

Uncle ! You dont mean the kamis use our wood models for starting fires do you ? !

Hey Bruise

I'm not sure what the final weight in steel will be, but if they stay close to the thickness of the model it will be light and fast. A real battle weapon.

Depends on whether they like the model or not.
