New Display Case

I was searching the local craigslist ads the other night and came across this display case. I contacted the owner and set up a time to go look at it. When I saw it I knew I had to have it. I ended it up getting it for $45.00 I couldn't believe it! Got it home cleaned it up and added 4 led lights. Does anyone know the age of this ? Or it's value? The person iI bought it from said he used to work at the Cabela's store in Omaha NE and he purchased it from there. Now just have to get a few more knives to go in it.

A very nice case. I sse that case still in use at one of my knife stores. Its like 10 yrs. old and worth much more than you purchased it for. A great find. DM
 
Thanks for the compliments! I think I may add two more LED strips down each side yet to take the darkness out of the middle section. They only had 4 at the store today so may have to try another location in a day or so. Adding the lights really helped I think.
 
Yes, I know of one that looks like that at a big gun shop in my area.

It's at least 20 years old. I've seen it for that long and I don't know how long it may have been in service before I saw it. It's in good shape and deceptively new-looking.

I'd say you made a tremendous buy on that.
