So there was a time when there were swords and knives on display all over my home. Than the joys of kids and their friends coming over forced me to move all such displays into my bedroom and cases.

Now in my room of course everything is out but the rest of the home was devoid of such items

Well my kids are getting older and I have just moved stuff around in my living room so I really wanted to do a display in my living room

The piece I wanted to use in the living room was none other than my Lurquin Musso Bowie that had one the Best In Bowie Contest on here 2 years ago

So I came across a guy that made plexiglas display cases and with in a few days the display was ready to go

The stand for the knife was made by another MasterSmith friend Jason Knight ......he can make more than knives :)

So here is the display on my desk in my room after I first put it together

In the display is also the fantastic sheath and a nice Leather arm guard

So here it is in the living room in its new spot along with a nice archery buck two ash earns of my Dogo’s and the fantastic image of the plaque and knife from Coop temp frame till a floating glass one arrives

So I’m pleased at the display

Opinions welcome

This is how my writing desk looks it’s graced by Mirabile Wak

Happy New Year

Wow Joe!
Excellent Trophy's and knife collection displays!
I had a very good friend that passed recently, wish you two could have met, he traveled the world and experienced high adventure like you! Kindred Spirits! Good Stuff, thanks for posting!

Thx Steve wish I could of meet him

Very nice! It think it's nice that Jason built the display for that, it makes for a good pair and makes it that much more special.

Would love to see some more pics of those other knives that are behind the plexiglass in the bottom picture.

That’s really cool-all of it. I really enjoy getting to be in a space with the things that have meant a lot or remind me of the experiences of life.

On a side note-should any “bad guy” ever try to come knocking, he would be an idiot not to turn and run when he saw all the dead stuff coupled with all the stuff that could be used to maim and/or kill... ;). Thanks for sharing, Joe.

Very cool display case in an amazing room! It all just fits together. Well done. I love building display cases but also struggle with actually displaying knives throughout the house. My kids know not to touch and are older now but don't really trust their friends. In addition, my wife uses "my" office and likes to use a space heater - dramatically raising the temp and lowering humidity - not good for natural materials. I wonder if plexiglass case will control humidity on its own of if I could add a cigar humidor mech within. Love to hear your thoughts or if you considered the need for it in your environment.

A great way to display such a treasure. Glad you’re back to getting a chance to view as enjoy the fruits of your labor.

...every time I see your Paradigm towers pressed dead against that wall, I cringe and die a small, quiet death. Once a hifi guy, always a hifi guy, I guess. :D

Happy New Year, bud.

Beautiful room, Joe, and congrats on the new display!

How big was the buff with the nice drops, and where did you take him? He's a beauty!

pretty sure the acoustics are terrible regardless, lol!

Joe, your place is like, museum-grade:thumbsup:

I am terribly jealous of your trophy room, Joe.... and the treasures held within. Great stuff, bud.

Thank you

Jason didn’t build it to display this piece :)

He built it to display a piece we sold at the Blade show and at the end of the show he gave it to me ....... it’s the thought that counts :)

I don’t know I don’t think this particular case is air tight

I live in a fairly dry house

I run Air all summer and I burn 10 cords of wood a winter so it’s pretty stable to on the dry side :)

Thx for the kind words
