Well, it wasn't at a very good time for us, but she's only 8 lbs.
My wife unexpectedly brought her home, even though I asked her not too, after an extended discussion on why we should or shouldn't get me a dog.
(so the dog food bill should be cheap!)
But a real dynamo, and filled with energy.

This is the first dog I've ever had. My wife came into our marriage with a dog, but she just isn't mine, she's very dedicated and loyal to my wife, and she loves me, and I her, but it isn't the same.
Pics will come soon.
Anyhow, I'm pleased my wife went and did this. Hell, I'm as happy as a little girl with her first barbie doll or something like that. I was VERY pissed at work today because we weren't supposed to have overtime, but did anyway. This happens on occasion, but I NEED TO GET HOME TO PLAY WITH THE DOG!!!!
Well, I'm home now, wish me luck with the pooch, which I've named Mellow!

Congrats bro! Is she full grown at 8 pounds, or still a pup?

Looking forward to some pics...

Congrats on the dog.

If she is young, hide the shoes, furniture, and INFI. :p Actually, when/if she starts teething, take an old wet towel, toss it in the freezer for a few hours in a shape like you were going to wring it out (but don't wring out too much water), and then see if that will placate her. I've always found dogs loved frozen wet towels when they were teething.

Congrats Bro!

We recently lost one of our two dogs to cancer. They(?) are(?) both her dogs. Partly, I suspect that is because I do all the maintenance:eek: Grooming, washing, brushing teeth etc. They(?) associate(?) me with unpleasantness and her with food. Such is life, I guess.

Like you, these were my first dogs(?) and IMO - Dogs ROCK!

(?) - no way to express plural versus singular and past versus present easily, but you get the idea.

I seriously envy you, dude. I love dogs, but having a serious allergy issue I can't keep one... :(

Make sure you train the dog, don't spoil it.

A spoiled dog will beg at the dinner table and complain until you break down and give it what it wants.

If you consistently train the dog to have good manners, it will keep those manners as long as you remain consistent.

If your wife has spoiled her dog, make sure she doesn't spoil yours.

There are several dogs that are much less allergy provoking. I'm the same way. Our dog is a Havanese. I have absolutely NO issues with him in the house.

Yeah, good luck with that.......:D

She's full grown. And at least 3 years old. Her actual age is a bit uncertain, possibly as old as 5. She already loves chasing the cats around. And don't worry, we'll keep her trained. I know it's going to be very easy to overfeed such a tiny dog.

Congrats on the new pup!:D:D:D

Don't know where I'd be without my wild boyz...got a blue and a fawn Dobe I wouldn't trade for infi!!

A girl needs a knife...and I want a Hall Razor!
