I saw your post and only wished I had the $$$'s.....you really outdid yourself with this one my friend. :)

Very nice! Beautiful wood, beautiful damascus.

Nice work!

Kind regards,

Jos

How long does it take you to create a knife like this from start to finish.

Also, on your 8" Recurve Fighter, what size bar-stock do you use?

I believe that's my favorite knife from you to date.
Every thing's so right including a handle that seems to be
perfection.

I know you want candid opnions, so I'll tell you the one thing I really don't like about this piece - it's not mine. :grumpy:

Everything else I like. A lot. Great lines, really nice damascus, terrific handle contour and some beyond gorgeous ironwood.

Not surprised that got snapped-up right quick.

Roger

The ironwood has an interesting combination of very light and dark brown tones.
It's my understanding that a darker brown primary color/tone is indication that the ironwood was indigenous to the southwest US and lighter color/tone from Mexico. Seems it would be difficult to determine the origin of this piece.

Again, very nice piece ALL around.

Sweet stuff, Phillip.
The dark and brown contrast ironwood is my favorite. I'm not even all that big a fan of the high character and burly-y stuff. I like this type above all the rest.
I also admire this knife and maybe the last one or two you've done without your traditional finger notch right behind the guard.
This is a much nicer look.

I agree. This contours on this handle make me want to reach into the photograph and grab hold of the knife.

All kinds of awesome there, man! I'm with everyone else - this is my favorite of yours to date! WOW!!!!!

The single pin in the handle adds just the right touch of elegance and balance to it, and the blade profile and damascus are superb - everything looks like it's flowing!

We gotta talk about where you're getting your ironwood...

My FAVORITE that i've seen you post to date also Phillip!! Simply awesome in EVERY way.

That is a BIG BADASS fighter. Very different grain to the ironwood, love the damascus and profile.

No surprise that this one sold so quick. I really enjoyed following the W.I.P. on this one, really helped me understand how to make a hidden tang knife. The handle is superb! Reminds me of Tortise Shell.

Did you do a sheath for this one as well, or leave that for the customer?

Simply beautiful.

Now that's a knife! Tremendous lines. One of the best knives I have seen lately.

I have always like your blades, this is a fantastic example of why!
