Hi there. I am hobby knifemaker since 2006. It is my last knife. Steel is 1.4034 (420) - 4mm thickness. Nardened up to 53 Rockwell. I am training my skils and updating my workshop machinery. I will get some RWL34 soon. :)

The knife looks really good, but as you seem to already know, you are going to have to improve on the quality of the steel you use for the blade. 420 isn't going to cut it in the custom knife world. It isn't good enough for anything except the least expensive production knives.

I know that. :) It is training for me so far. I will use RWL34 in the future. I ordered some O1 too. I am still a humble hobbyst. Sorry if my post place is not here. :o

You made your post in the right forum.

RWL-34 and O1 are excellent steels, and it looks like you have practiced enough.
