New EBLS passes all the tests

Just got my new EBLS yesterday and I've been thoroughly impressed. It passes every standard that I ever had for a combat knife. I read a thread a while back regarding the "ergonomics" of tactical knives and it got me thinking to one of my knife combat instructors. (One of those Force Recon guys...) He said: "Any time you consider using a knife for combat you better coat it with 30 weight motor oil and make sure you can still use it. That comes close to the effect that all that sweat and blood will have on your grip." This knife digs into all the right spots, I can't imagine it slipping under hard use. The sheath is perfect for icepick grip draw...no snaps to release...the kydex is so secure that a piece of 100 mph tape is about all you need to make it safe for jumping. There are a lot of little quirks that are difficult to appreciate in pictures. For example, that finger choil in the handle is actually big enough for two of my fingers in the ice pick grip. (Real useful when doing the motor oil test, won't twist or slip out). It's now replacing the Cold Steel SRK that's been on my web gear for years. An AR is on order to replace my REKAT Pocket Hobbit as a combat folder. Anyway, I'm not telling you anything you guys haven't heard before. Just wanted to let you know there was another satisfied customer among those guys whose lives depend on these tools.

P.S. My wife loves this knife. She doesn't know jack about knives but has an eye for art. She wishes there was a small one to replace her Spyderco but I had to explain that she wasn't exactly the target audience. The upside is that I have her permission to buy more.

Congrats! Glad you like your EB. I just got mine (EBS) back from Bodycote and love it as well. Your wife might like the TAD TKa. Smaller "EB" like blade.

Hey Zach,

I was going to wait until I got my AR and BN back from the shop to post a picture along with the EBS. The EB is cool bodycoted, I can't wait for the AR. The BN is also going to get different scales.
