Had been saving for this one. Bought it brand new. My first step into a semi-custom production gun. Wont be my last. Have put a few hundred rounds through it so far. Got it about two weeks ago. No failures and shoots where I aim it. No tool marks anywhere on the outside or inside. This will be no safe king, will go into the carry rotation. Had to pass up some nice INFI till I got this.

The grips came with the gun and are VZ G10 diamond backs made for Ed Brown. I love VZ grips and I like them better than wood.

Nice!! I've had my eye on the Executive Elite for a while. Is that their basic blue finish or did you get on of the super finishes?

It's the Gen IIII coating. So far I like the coating. A Wilson CQB may be the next one I get. I have my eye on it too. I had it narrowed down to those two (Ed Brown and Wilson Combat) found the Brown first and the price was right.

I was leaning Wilson for a long time. It comes down to cosmetics for me. I think the Ed Brown just looks better for some reason.

Really nice! One of these days, I will get off the hip and buy an EB or WC.

I'd love to have an ed Brown 1911. Nothing fancy looking, but does what it suppose to do.

Thanks for the comments guys. This gun had everything I wanted and nothing I didn't. I didn't want front cocking serrations or ambi safety. I cannot say enough how nicely fit this 1911 is. It's tight but not insanely tight. Lock up is rock solid. Can't wait to hit the range again. :-)

if you ever want to feel like your 1911 is a natural extension of your arm then try hogue's wrap around rubber grips!!!!
you will love it!
