This is a really nice knife for EDC.

Just about perfect for pocket carry - very light and slim profile, carries very low. Blade seems smaller than the 3" length, doesn't freak sheeple out too bad - AXIS lock is nice.

Really haven't found anything I don't like about it yet - we'll see how it holds up to everyday use.

BM does turn out a quality product..the only other one I have is a 2550 & can't carry that one because of Auto laws in Wa. St.

I've been on a Benchmade binge lately. I agree that the 960 is a excellent EDC. I love to carry my 960-400 when I'm dressed in black.

I kinda wish I got into the 960 when they were sticking MOP and such in the handles. Those were sexy knives.

Congrats on the 960 :D

I am getting one this month myself, been holding off to afford a bit better then just charging it hehe.

Anyhow, is a real sweetheart, i want one for EDC myself, maybe dress, i dont know yet.

Enjoy your slick new knife.

How are the handles at resisting scratches & scuffs?

This is the next knife on my wish list, but I worry about the red or silver finsh showing up every scratch, scuff or fingerprints.

It's just too pretty to have blemishes, like having a ferrari, with dings & scratches - it's got to look GOOD.

The 960 is one of my favorite work EDCs: useful but not particularly threatening-looking D-2 blade (good slicer), thin side profile for low pocket imprint, smoooooooth axis lock, all in a very pretty package. I don't generally keep anything else in the pocket holding the 960, and so far haven't had any problems wtih dings/scratches. The anodizing seems to be pretty durable, but I wouldn't expect it to stand up to repeated exposure to keys and coins.
