I'm in the market for a new edc flashlight. I currently carry either a Foursevens Preon 1 or a Streamlight Protac 2AAA, but I want to get something with more throw and brightness. I was thinking about possibly a Fenix PD22, but I'm open to suggestions. What do you guys think?

I haven't tried the PD35, but I really like my PD22. I can leave the light on High mode and the tailcap just turns it on/off. Other modes available by the side button. The clip is sturdier than the streamlight protac which kept wanting to pop off.

Can't go wrong with a Fenix. I've got an LD22 and one of their waterproof headlamps, both are awesome and very high quality.

I say go with Fenix. I had a P1D and a P2D for a few years and they worked well. They were finicky sometimes but mostly great.

I have been EDCing a Fenix PD20 for a few years now. Light has never let me down and it has the best pocket clip of any small light I have found (the entire light completely conceals. I hate having an EDC light with a portion of the light sticking out of my pocket, looks retarded.

The anodizing on Fenix lights is pretty weak, I will say. It will chip/scuff fairly easily, but other than that they are pretty dang good.

I just purchase a olight M10 maverick. And loving it. Very small in size but put out 350 lumens with no problems.

PD20 the previous model is my go to EDC light. Perfect, just a little short to be a kuboton for me.

I gifted some PD22's for xmas this year with high praise of the product from the recipients. Haven't had a problem with mine in two years of everyday use.

I've been happy with my Fenixes and Zebralights, but I love my Sunwayman V10R, with its infinitely adjustable brightness. They have an upgraded version now, the V11R. Worth a look.
