Hey guys.
I know these types of threads get started all the time but what's a good knife for at or under $100ish? and please tell me what you like and dislike about it.

Things I'm looking for:
Preferably non S/A
Smaller blade sub 4in

Thanks for any help, Matty

The newer CRKT Ripples, cost exactly $100.00, and have bearings in the pivot. IMHO the ripple actions are the best I've ever felt in a knife, but I'm very biased towards knives with bearings.

Hey Matty hope all is well my friend! I would have to say a BM mini Ritter. It has great blade steel(S30V) and it also can be customizeable if you like. Its a great size and fits the bill for most every day tasks! Also its fun as heck to open and close with the axis lock!
Good luck bud!

thanks, Man. I hope everything's great with you too! I've been hooked on the axis ever since I got my regular mini grip! :)
spyderco sage 1
Wow I never knew sages were in that price range! Thank you! :)

fixed -- BK24 w/kabar scales comes in about $60. small enough for pocket carry, D2 holds a very functional edge for a long time and sharpens up fairly easy with diamond or ceramic stones.
folder -- I'm really learning to like Great Eastern Cutlery and they have both slipjoint and locking patterns under $100 in their lineup. (#57 or the 2-blade haynhelper both look like good daily carry patterns)

Yeah I just picked up a ripple, I love the bearings! They make it so smooth. :)
Spyderco Manix 2 or Benchmade Griptillian are both great knives.
I love the locks on both of those, I like how Spyderco did the axis type lock.

I always have Been interested in gec's thanks :)

preorder is going on for this year's forum traditional -- it's $130, but looks like a good pattern for pocket carry.

I think benchmade did the axis the best, but the ergos on the spyderco are awesome. Much better than the grip in my opinion.

I don't know if you have every handled the benchmade 530, but it's a sweet little knife, amazingly lite and thin too....also the volli felt great!

Thanks 9, I like it, kinda reminds me of a stiletto. And what do you think of the Spyderco Sage?

The sage is great! You will love it if you get it! Spyderco done right by the Sage!

It's a good knife, a little plain for my taste but that's just me (still want on but it's on the back burner for now) and call me Kirby:)
