Hello all,
I normally carry a Mel Pardue Benchmade 530 and it's been great: I'm on my second one. However, I have been expanding into some heavier duty knives. I have an Emerson, it's o.k. I have a Cold Steel Lawman because I love a good choil, it's my garage knife along with a RAT 1. I have an old Spyderco Endura, etc...
However, I bought a large drop point Honey Badger and I was loving it! I love the Flat Ground Blade, I love the choil with the jimping on it and the spine. The handle is good and the deep carry clip is great. I also love the very smooth action. But, I found the pivot screw starts to back out on me and the blade gets some wobble in it. This is not cool of course.
I was wondering if any of your could give me some advice on something to replace it. Flat grind, useful blade with some belly, buttery action and a nice choil. I am looking at the PM2, which I am about ready to pull the trigger on. It looks a little big in the handle and the height at the hole though. Also something I could sharpen myself without wayyy too much effort and skill would be nice.
Thanks for your time!
Sam
