Got my orange RSK griptilian yesterday. The knife is pretty awesome. I will get some pics up soon. It showed up a few days earlier than expected, knifeworks never disappoints. I have a quick question, how hard is it to disassemble an axis lock? I want to make some custom scales for it. Also, where could I get a slab of Ti? Im not to fond of the feeling of the scales so far.

knifeworks always keeps me happy. i feel you should be happy too, since the knife came ahead of schedule.

Hi lilknifekid -

I am pretty sure you meant to say that knifeworks never disappoints, or never fails to deliver, but got mixed up in typing.

Roger and his crew are fantastic.

There was someone selling Ti slabs here on the exchange very recently.

Phillip Dobson also makes custom scales for Griptilians, if you wanted to have it done for you.

Yes I meant never disappoints. Oops. Or never fails to satisfy. I have always been happy with their service. I fixed my mistake. And thanks for the link to the Ti.

Dont the scales come off of the liner without disassembling the locking mechanism?

You can take the scales off the liners without taking apart the AXIS lock, but once see how it works you'll understand it's really easy to put back together should you need to.
