I'm not a big clip guy, I like to just keep it in my pocket with my keys and such. Looking for a durable "smaller" knife as I thought the Manix 2 was a little big for me. I don't use my knives for much other than cutting boxes and tape while at work, but like to keep one around for the what if's.

I've looked at 100's of pics seeing the sizes of the different small knifes. My head is spinning lol. Give me some ideas!!

No brainer here. Chaparral!!

If you want cheaper..the squeak is a pretty nice blade and you can check a certain website and they sell the pink ones (which you can dye) for $15

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll have to take a look at them. I've been browsing the stretches at the moment. They look nice and look to be around the size I want. Thanks again!

The stretch is a great knife and my current favorite. But it's not small, it is very similar in size to the Manix2.

I find the Delica the perfect size for my everyday needs of opening boxes, removing staples, cutting zip ties, etc. The Dragonfly is nice but I found it to small.

Hmmm it looked a little smaller to me. At least not as wide as the manix 2 I had.

No it is not as wide and carries much better. But it is not small. If someone else doesn't do it first I can get a picture of then together tomorrow

Yeah sounds like you need a delica. You might want to shop around for one in super blue. They are still out there if you hurry.

I don't have a stretch but I have several spydercos and I always come back to the delica. You will forget its in your pocket at less than 2.5 oz but can still get a four finger grip for more rigorous tasks. VG-10 in my experience has been phenomenal for EDC and the price point is spot on. HIGHLY recommend it!

Spyderco Gayle Bradley Air, hands down. I would own one if it were made with a pocket clip. Seeing as you prefer not using one, it seems perfect. Twill glass fiber handles and a CPM-M4 wharncliffe blade - seems like a perfect match of small, durable, and quality.

The Delica4 for sure for compact, lightweight carry. The Stretch is just a little bit larger, but still fits nicely in the pocket and carries comfortably.

Here are mine with custom deep-carry clips by Casey Lynch (theoriginalspaceman here at BF):

Please inquiring minds want to know... I cant find it under $40.

There is one knife I would recommend to anyone for an EDC just about anywhere at any time>> I'm speaking of the Native model. Whether it be one of the Golden, CO USA Earth models or one of the Japan made models they are both very dependable folders.

Now you could also go with the mainline Delica as well. Also I don't know what all your daily cutting needs are but if you do a lot with a knife during the day you might also want to consider a companion EDC>> I use either a TASMAN, Harpy or Spyderhawk for a companion blade. I like Hawkbills because I find them to be handy for many cutting chores that requires a lot of pull cutting and for jobs that require an aggressive, serrated blade. That way you can EDC with a plain edge and have a Spyderedged Hawkbill for backup.

The "Little Big Knife Does It All" and only weighing in at 1.2 oz. {Good Old DragonFly 2}

Exactly what I was thinking! I prefer a cliped knife myself but the times I don't want a clip hanging out of my pocket its the GB Air always! I've never really liked having a loose knife in my pocket nor liner locks but I love this knife. Although I have no real need, I often carry the Air in the small watch pocket in my jeans besides having a clipped knife. I suppose its nice to have a clean blade (Air) for food prep after dirtying my larger folder doing other tasks but I've never felt the need before. It truely is a great gentlemens folder!
