I have been carrying the Manix 2 xl and PM2 for the last 2 years exclusively. Both are great but I vastly prefer the Manix. So I have decided it is time to retire them while they are still in good shape after a tune up trip to Spyderco. I am torn between the regular Manix and the Tenacious. Black blade or Satin? What are your thoughts? I am open to any suggestions as long as it is a Spydie.

Definately the Manix. I would recommend the S110v lightweight model, but you can't go wrong with any Manix.

i would go with a manix 2 regular size,i got so sick of cutting myself with tenacious!when opening/closing it that it stays in the box now a days,i hear that blurple/S110V light weight manix 2 is a killer knife,i have two other folders with this steel and its remarkable, edit! sorry not light weight,G110 version..:)

I am strongly leaning toward a Manix 2 blurple or blacked out. The Manix 2 XL is hands down my absolute favorite right now.

I have a Tenacious and several models of Manix 2. The Tenacious is a good knife and a very good value but I prefer the Manix 2, mostly based on the handle shape.

The XL is definitely my favorite Manix.
For a standard Manix I would suggest the G10 S110V version, apart from the superior edge holding I believe it has the skeletonized liners like the Cruwear Sprint Manix, making it lighter without losing any of the rugged solidity ones feels holding a (non LW) Manix.

Manix all the way! The blacked out version is a killer choice in both G10 and Lightweight.

If you're considering a Tenacious, look at a Byrd Raven 2

Similar price but different steel and the Byrd has a choil where the Tenacious does not

I wouldn't get a Tenacious if you already have a PM2. It feels too much like a budget option for the Paramilitary.
Black blades look cool but will scratch soon.
