I've been lurking here on bf for awhile now so I figure it's about time to start a thread. This is one of my favorite subforums to check out. It's really nice to not have to sift through all the bickering and bs found elsewhere on the site. Plus, jacknife's stories are always terrific. Anyways, I've decided it's time for a new slippie and I'm looking for a few suggestions. I'd like to try a new pattern for something different. I already have a barlow, a whittler, and a large sodbuster.
Here are the things I'm looking for.
Two knives I've been looking at are the Case small texas jack and the Queen gunstock. I've never really been fond of the trapper pattern even though I know a lot of people like it. I also love the look of the swayback but wonder if I would like a wharncliffe as the main blade. Hopefully you guys can give me a few more ideas and make my decision a little harder.
