I was never really into skelly knives. My first was the swarden, and the grip just didn't do it for me. It's on the opposite coast of the US now, even though it was a perfect match for my muddy fbm.

The Edit, my second CLB, is sick. It actually feels good in hand. It cuts, too!

I read on the other thread that there were issues with sheath retention. The first thing i did out of the box was give it a good shake, and it was fine. I was able to free the knife buy throwing the sheath down and catching it by the chain. Merely dropping it didn't work. You can see how low it hangs with the chain unmodified below. not bad, but i may shorten it.

All in all, I like it.

Aloha Magnum22,

Hmmmmm...glad your sheath arrived tighter than mine. I added some para to tighten her up a bit. Here are some pics from Alexschira's thread.

You can kinda see the para going through the first eyelets.

Anyway, keep us posted on your EDIT and I am happy to hear you like it. BTW, I gotta go do some push ups or wide grip chins or something...After seeing that pic of you in the tank top...I got some work to do!:o

God bless and mahalo!

hah, i've won no competitions, unlike a certain genius knife designer.

i am impressed with the finish. unlike the similar coat on my buck 889 and swisstool, it doesn't turn white when wet. the rat1 folder's black coat doesn't either, but it scrapes up under the scrubber sponge, which the edit doesn't.

cut my dinner (one beef steak, one chicken steak) like air. can't believe it was under $35. owns the skelly warden, even without the inclusion of a sheath.

you rock, Chad. thanks for another great knife. could you do me a favor and design a sgian dubh?

Aloha buddy,

Um...yeah, but you probably can right now win a few local contests!!! BTW, I am FAR from being a genius...I am just a NORMAL knife nut...das all!;)

I love the Ti-Coat these buggers wear...they are the best "coat" I have come across in all my knife using years, and I am glad that you are finding out the same!

Hmmmmm, Scottish Dirk? I have a design of a few from back in the day...I'll dig 'em up and well...who knows what might happen.;)

God bless and whatever you're doing, keep on keeping ON!!!

PS: Now seriously, I better go do some dips or something!!!:o
