I know, I know.
Many of you have already been there done that with this little wonder, but I cant help myself when I see a good value.
No doubt sog is not the leader in the high end knife market, but I think they have a very well priced user market like no other.

This little guy showed up in the mail box the other day and I can't stop playing with it. I am , to say the least, very pleased with the overall quality and design of this little guy. Once again verysharp out of the box, good size and weight, solid handles, and very good looking in my opinion.

In all fairness I did have a little trouble with the blade not fully locking up out of the box. However this was easily remdied with a quick adjustment and a handful of cycles of the action. All was well in about 3 min.
Best of all is the price. I was able to snag this guy off "the E-Bay" for $26 shipped.:D

Sweet deal if you ask me;)

You've made a very good point about SOG Knives as a company.

Most of their product line isn't aimed at the more lucrative "high end" collector market but at the same time the knives SOG makes are high quality in fit/finish/materials and offered at reasonable prices. For me, it's very reassuring to know I can replace my primary EDC knife for around $60.

So you definitely did get a good deal!

That is some nice photography too, btw. What kind of camera are you using?

Thanks
I have a Sony Dsc-w7 , 7.2mp , 3x zoom.
I have been bitten by the sog bug now I need to decide what my first sog fixedblade will be.
Tech bowies look pretty  choices choices ....:p

:) Muchas Gracias on the camera info! :)
I'm thinking of upgrading and it's handy to see what cameras take the good pictures!

The Sog Tech Bowie is a very nice knife. Satin is more attractive IMO but the black doesn't reflect light and is even more waterproof. Depends on what your needs are.

May I suggest a Pentagon as your first SOG fixed blade? I know I promote the knife non-stop, but it really is an incredible design. Bigger than a folder, yet still small enough to carry comfortably, with a dual edge choice single-edge knives try to imitate with a "combo" edge. Nothing comes close to a full serrated edge.

SOG and Spyderco have some of the best and most sharpener-friendly serration patterns on the market today.
