The issue will be limited to a run of only 200 pieces and will be offered only to club members. Club members will be able to purchase only one knife per membership number unless there are unsold units at the end of the run. I think this is unlikely so if you are not a club member and want one of these special 110s, now is the time to join!
Larry Oden= ...When the knife is offered in the newsletter, it will be on a first-come, first-serve basis to club members. If the demand is overwhelming, I am confident we can do another run although the inlays might not be sambar stag. Let's cross one bridge at a time!!
I have had one eager club member already email me and request to be placed on the list. I greatly appreciate his excitement but please do not do this!!! Wait for the announcement order form in an upcoming newsletter and then place the order. We are aiming for the December newsletter to offer the knife but that is not carved in stone.
The reasoning for omitting the nail nick is multi-faceted. One, we want this knife to really be special with features never before offered on a 110. Also, with a fingergroove frame, a nail nick is not really necessary. Third, the look will be very unique.
We are very excited to offer a high grade steel, sambar stag and a different blade style to club members. This will truly be a special 110. I think it will be a great using knife and I know it will be a collector's dream.
