New email addy change up questions please??

If I change my email address in my User CP at the Edit section, how long does it take to go into effect exactly? Is this instant? Or will it take some time to get email notification to go to my new email or what? Please explain the process. Thanks in advance.

The system will send you a confirming email; you'll probably see it in your inbox in two or three minutes, if you check for new mail every minute or so. It'll take you a minute to open the email and click on the link, and then you'll be all set.
