Out of the box it seems like a very sturdy knife . . . VERY STURDY INDEED !
Good lock up,
Nice thick strong liners.
No nonsense blade pivot screw.
I deployed it as if by magic using the wave.
WOW that is so cool ! ! ! !
So fast !
I took it to my tub of vegan cream cheese lid. I had been struggling for like twenty minutes and just could not pry the lid off.

The Emerson made short work of it . . .
but
the blade snapped about an inch from the tip
I see on the box and on the blade it says : Proudly hand made in China by Ernest Emerson himself. (it's tiny print).
Has anyone else had this experience ?
I like the knife so much I am just going to grind the tip and keep using it.
Probably just a fluke that wouldn't happen again in a million years.
