Well, I admit I haven't had very many Emersons. I've had my '99 CQC7 that I've used faithfully. I've had a mini-CQC7 & a mini-Commander. Well, I worked out a trade for a HD7. Wow. I was surprised at how thick the Ti frame-lock is. It's definitely thicker than my old Strider SnG. I also got a Cyclone Ti ZDP-189, too. While that's not a bad knife, at all. Its frame-lock isn't as thick as the HD7 or the Strider SnG.
