Hello,

I received my first Emerson today, a CQC-11-SFS.

Please explain to me the markings on the blade. Right under the thumb disc it says 420. What does 420 mean?

Also, does the 2006 on the blade mean the year the knife was introduced, or what exactly?

2006 is the year.

the number 420 is the serial number. as in the 420th cqc11 made in 2006.

I myself have the 8,11,13, Commander and a pimped SARK but I think the 11 is all Ernie - big, bad and a real cutting machine!
