Well, for $30 this is one solid knife! I like it, the weight is on the heavier side which I do like.

The wave opener is great, really easy to deploy every time. Only complaint is that it's difficult to open one hand with the thumb stud because of the frame lock, I have to adjust from my normal deployment grip so I'm not putting pressure on the frame lock which prevents me from opening the blade with my thumb. Also didn't come super sharp but I'll fix that.

Otherwise it's pretty nice, g10 is good. No play at all, locks up very solid. I like the blade style too. For $30 this is definitely a win. I'll probably get a couple more Emerson kershaw knives given the price point they are at. Not bad at all and I really wanted something with a wave.

Such a great knife for the money! It's the only Kershaw Emerson I have right now, but that won't last long.

I sometimes have the same problem with framelocks. They're not hard to open but it does take that slight adjustment.

My bro has this model and it's great for the money. Came sharp like most Kershaws do. Wicked smooth too.

I've been collecting knives since 2001. And my first kershaw ever was this year with the cqc 1k. Perfect lil edc.

Congrats! I just ordered the CQC-7k. Appears to be the same as the 6k but in Tanto. This is my first Emerson design. Can't wait! What Will you use to get it popping sharp?
